"Taste of Cherry" (1997), directed by Abbas Kiarostami, is a minimalist Iranian drama about a middle-aged man, Mr. Badii, who drives around the outskirts of Tehran searching for someone to bury him after he commits suicide. The film explores themes of life, death, and existentialism through Mr. Badii's encounters with various individuals who offer differing perspectives on mortality and personal choice.
