Illmatic is the debut studio album by American rapper Nas, released on April 19, 1994 through Columbia Records. The album was recorded between 1992 and 1993 in various New York studios, and features production from hip-hop legends like DJ Premier, Large Professor, Pete Rock, Q-Tip, L.E.S. and Nas himself.
